making way for the new

i had a big – and i mean big – clear-out of clothes yesterday (almost a year to the day that i did my last clean, coincidentally).

i was a little stricter than i have been previously – no more keeping items for sentimental reasons, and no more keeping items to be mended / altered / etc. (surely i’d have done it by now if i was ever going to, right?). as a result, i seem to have been left with about four dresses and five skirts, which is ridiculous because i am a dress and skirt girl through and through (i don’t even own a pair of jeans).

i think i might try and sell some of the clothes i no longer wear; my impending unemployment has thankfully (i guess!) become impending underemployment, so cash is a little thin around these parts at the moment (well, as ever, really).

if i do start a shop, i’ll let you know. because any proceeds can go to procuring things that i really love and really need. these dresses and skirts at maryam nassir zadeh would fill my wardrobe gaps very nicely. sadly, they are out of my price range, but one can dream…

  2. Isn’t a wardrobe clean out so satisfying? We should do a trade. I’ve recently come to the realisation that I’m a jeans and tshirts girl and that I have little use for all of the dresses and skirts that I own.
