i have been on the receiving end of some pretty amazing and generous gifts this week… i feel very, very lucky (and feel like i should be dropping to my knees whilst screaming ‘we’re not worthy‘ or something…).
belinda of alchemy fame sent me over this extraordinary amethyst necklace and pulse point oil. i met belinda recently and she’s super ace and smart and funny and cool, and her work is exactly the same. i am IN LOVE with this necklace, and the ‘let go’ oil is exactly what i need in my life. i am very happy with my gifts, as you can probably tell.
so thank you to belinda, and don’t forget to visit her shop if you want a little piece of awesomeness in your life, too :)
i love dull diamond’s bracelets: such great colour + texture combinations.
and they have an ace blog, too, as shown in this awesome picture of ghana bolga baskets

there’s a fine line between super-awesome oversized necklaces and necklaces that ladies-that-lunch buy on holiday because they want to appear bohemian.
i think these are all clearly on the right side of that line, no?
(note to self: buy a new black t-shirt.)
buy these (and more) at sight unseen
and more at her blog
apologies for the (relative) quietness around here lately.
i’ve been busy working two days a week, doing work experience / internships two days a week, completing a masters degree, and – what has taken up most of my hours – wasting time on pinterest / twitter / instagram.
AND, i’ve been making a quilt, which features some amazing nani iro fabric (though none of the above. soon to be rectified by the purchase of the first one. and perhaps five others).
if i’m very honest, i haven’t picked up a book for uni since before easter, AND i had last week off work. but still: instagram never sleeps.
priorities, people.

love these wire sculptures by gavin worth.
from top to bottom: morning pose, corpus callosum, rising.
(also love the textured wall in the background…oh, to have this in my house!)
