remember last week when i was all ‘go me: i’ve finished uni and now i have heaps of free time, yippee’? OH, HA HA HA: THOSE WERE THE DAYS, HOW YOUNG AND INNOCENT I WAS.
yes; those were the days, the days before i realised that i hadn’t submitted, oh, THREE assignments that were due, OH, THREE MONTHS AGO. ha ha ha, etc.
cue: panic attack / liberal dousing of myself with belinda’s ‘let go’ lotion / frantic ‘PLEEEEASE don’t fail meeeeee’ emails to uni / cancelled plans / late nights catching up on said assignments.
i am yet to hear my fate from uni – hoping for the best, preparing for the worst – but at least i have now caught up on (almost) everything. and to think i was considering enrolling in another degree next semester: HA! i clearly need a break from studying.
WISH ME LUCK with the god of late submissions…

(two posts in two days? i know..!)
remember when skirts over pants / trousers were a thing? i’m not talking about last year or whenever when vogue tried to bring them back and we all ignored them. i mean in the late 90s when you used to be able to buy ‘skirts’ sewn on to pants. for, like, $15 in the ‘workwear’ department at kmart or something. eww, shudder, foul, I KNOW.
but also FOUL and FRUSTRATING is how it is nigh impossible to find dresses / skirts at any length other than that shown above. okay; i love these dresses, all of them. and if i could, i would totally wear them (you know i would). but i TOTALLY can’t. they are just WAY TOO SHORT, even that last one. even with leggings or, dare i say, trousers underneath. because i am quite tall – almost 5’10” – and er, quite un-gazelle / giselle like.
i also couldn’t wear any of those shoes; see the 5’10” bit and then multiply that by extreme clumsiness / uncoordination (yes, i know that’s not a real word), but that’s another story.
still: props to peter pilotto because despite my personal gripes this collection is ace.
i promise you that i hadn’t forgotten that i had a blog, really. regular posting will resume as of now, promise.
i have almost caught up on sleep, my desk is cleared away of all my uni notes, and today i went for a super long and relaxing walk. in other words, after a pretty isolated and hectic month i am feeling good again and am happy to have FREE TIME to do the things that i want to do, like posting here (and maybe also on tumblr: we’ll see).
hope you’re all well.

since i last posted i have a) turned a year older, and b) handed in my last assignment for uni (okay: technically i still have to do another 200 or so hours of work experience, but still.)
so here’s some super-electric colour courtesy of marc jacobs to celebrate :)
